Building a Winning Team in Management

This article is a review that focuses on ways of building a winning team, running it smoothly and how to evaluate its performance.

In August 2011 three world series players were in the verge of winning a third world series in a time of seven years. However the trio of Lackey, Lester and Beckett spent their time in a destructive behavior which lead to a heavy series defeat. This showed the world that teams with passion, economic resource, talent can still fail miserably.

Managing an effective team involves: Managing the internal dynamics of a team; and managing the external dynamics of team. So as to achieve success a team needs strong members as opposed to having a strong leader. It is the duty of the manager to channel focus of achieving set goals through these three factors. Task, people and process.
