It also discusses the leadership and management theories that align with my leadership and the type of work environment as well as key actions that I must demonstrate to be a successful leader.

The leadership assessment demonstrated that my leadership style is high task and high relationship. The assessment revealed me as a team leader. I lead others by example. I also strive to promote a team environment where team members reach their potential. I also encourage the members of the team to achieve their goals as effectively as possible.

The assessment also revealed that I work tirelessly to ensure that I strengthen the bond existing between the team members. Therefore, I believe that I can utilize my leadership knowledge and skills to form and lead the most productive teams in my workplace.

My leadership style aligns with transformational leadership theory. Transformational leadership theory is a type of theory that perceives effective leadership to be a product of positive relationship existing between team members and the leader. Leaders in this type of leadership theory focus on motivating those they lead.

They provide them with significant autonomy and responsibility over the tasks that they undertake. These leaders also use passion and enthusiasm to inspire those they lead. There is also the aspect of acting as models for the team members (Wang et al., 2018).

The leaders uphold the standards that the team members should emulate for the effectiveness of the team relationships and activities. This type of leadership aligns with my leadership style because of my focus on the development of those I lead. I also model those I lead and ensure that I adopt interventions that strengthen the bon between the team members.

My leadership style also aligns with human relations theory of management. The human relations theory of management asserts that organizations and management should strive to ensure that workplace environment meets the needs of the employees. Employee performance is tied to the attention that the managers and the organization give them.

Therefore, social factors such as recognition, rewards, and positive working conditions motivate employees to achieve their goals and those of the organization (Oyerinde, 2017). My leadership style focuses on promoting the realization of the diverse needs of the team members, hence, its alignment with the human relations theory of management.

Based on my leadership style, my work environment should promote active participation of the team members. The work environment should foster teamwork in the undertaking of organizational activities. Team members should also be provided with autonomy and responsibility to undertake their assigned tasks.

A goal-oriented focus should also guide the implementation of the organizational strategies. I must demonstrate specific behaviors for me to be a successful leader in such an environment. Firstly, I must be adaptive and flexible. I should demonstrate significantly flexibility in accommodating the needs of the team members. I should also be able to shift my decisions based on the situations being experienced in a team. I should also foster open communication in teams.

Team members should have the freedom to express themselves without fearing intimidation. Lastly, I should be a good listener (PANAIT & BUCINSCHI, 2018). Good listening skills enable a leader to understand the unique individual needs and concerns of the team members.

Overall, leadership is an important trait that determines organizational success. Effective leaders understand the needs of those they lead and ways of promoting them. They also promote the personal and professional development of those they lead. Therefore, leaders should perform self-assessment to identify ways in which they can improve their leadership skills and abilities further.
