In addition to giving your patients the finest care possible, it’s critical for healthcare professionals to deliver care that is culturally competent. Being adequately informed about various communities and their customs is essential to achieving this. This essay addressed hypertension in the Hispanic community, a medical condition that is common in the area where the nurse works. It also described a plan for health promotion that was implemented to meet that requirement.
Culturally competent care education was highlighted because this healthcare requirement is unique to the Hispanic community (Santana et al., 2021). The health promotion strategy that was developed, along with its composition and implementation, were also discussed in this report. Ensuring the education of community members on their treatment plans is crucial to advancing community health.
