NURS FPX 5004 Assessment 1 Leadership and Group Collaboration

Empowering Teams Through Transformational Leadership

Since transformational leadership empowers all team members to lead and produce ideas toward a resolution, I chose this technique to ensure that the team member achieved the desired results. As a leader, adopting a revolutionary strategy would promote diversity, raise achievement, and alter our workplace ideals. As a CEO, the transformational leadership concept explained how I would change my team members’ perceptions of their roles and encourage them to prioritize the needs of the team over their own (Monje Amor et al., 2020). People of various ages, ethnicities, and levels of experience made up my team. I had to motivate everyone by letting them take ownership of their responsibilities and make outstanding and noteworthy contributions to the project’s accomplishment.

By providing financial rewards for their efforts and pushing them to be creative in achieving the project’s ultimate goal, the team members’ morale was raised and they produced more remarkable results. I built strong relationships with each team member at one of the interactive sessions to better understand their varied leadership styles and empower them to lead the team in the ways that work best for them. It was my responsibility to ensure that their creative suggestions were adopted, that they adhered to the set operational guidelines for healthcare, and that they all worked toward the same objective.

During our biweekly staff meetings, I trained my employees to reflect carefully on difficult situations. It greatly improved the team’s engagement and morale, which is essential to achieving the shared objectives of the project (Tania et al., 2021). Judgement skills are a crucial component of administration in a healthcare effort. My team employed analytical and cognitive judgment techniques in this investigation.

Introduction

NURS FPX 5004 Assessment 3 – The management of a medical organization determines its performance. Creating a positive environment in the healthcare sector that encourages collaboration, trust, and efficiency is the responsibility of an exceptional leader. Trust is the ability of group members to recognize one other’s aptitude and expertise in a particular field and apply that aptitude and expertise to achieve the team’s objectives. This, in turn, develops a collaborative mindset that supports in attaining the organization’s ultimate goals. Consequently, this assessment (NURS FPX 5004 Assessment 3) will be divided into two sections in order to respond to the Western Medical Enterprises survey. I’ll discuss critical leadership abilities, teamwork, supervisory responsibilities, communication, and decision-making procedures in the first section.

The significance of ethics in the workplace will be looked at and discussed in the second section.

I worked in the oncology department for over nine months of my five years at one of Divinity Healthcare’s facilities, during a worrying peak in the incidence of nosocomial infections. Divinity Hospital is a well-known medical facility in the US that is renowned for offering patients and their families excellent care (Barry & McManigle, 2021). Hospital safety and the quality of care are threatened by nosocomial infections. Since my supervisor periodically asked me to oversee the operations of the cancer unit, the executives selected me to lead a team of fifteen healthcare professionals in addressing the crisis of nosocomial illnesses.

The idea aimed to identify the etiology of infectious infections and provide a four-month treatment for the ailment. It was my duty as the group leader to make sure that everyone in my group understood the purpose of the project and what needed to be done. Since the issue affects every employee in the healthcare facility, it was imperative to let the team know that in order for the project to be successful, they would need to collaborate and engage with staff members from various healthcare units (Muff et al., 2020).
