This essay examines a case study of Jackie, a nurse manager, whose leadership style deviates from accepted norms and has a detrimental effect on employee morale and patient care. The goals of the suggested Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) are to improve communication, promote moral leadership, and harmonize Jackie’s management style with company policies. This entails providing leadership development, defining precise performance standards, and creating consistent feedback loops to guarantee continued development and responsibility. Jackie’s behaviors raise questions regarding potential ethical transgressions, such as inappropriate contacts, a lack of communication, and unprofessional behavior that violates American Nurses Association (ANA) guidelines (Monroe, 2019).
