. As nurses we have a responsibility to contribute to the development of the profession and the implementation of new evidence into our practices through research. The passion to question the background and future of our practice should be relevant to each nurse. Effective literature search is tedious and time consuming. I start my literature search by focusing on the sources of my search. How am I going to be looking for my publications? What am I looking for? Who is the focus of the research on? What is the time frame of publication I am looking for? My focus in the beginning is to look in areas I am likely to find the most credible and reliable evidence related to your clinical problem. I would target databases( Walden library) as my beginning point
