Part-1 of the project charter emphasizes the gap analysis to identify the current practices and required modification for the desired changes. I am working on collecting current and authentic evidence-based research data, which necessitates educating care professionals on telehealth and nutritional interventions for improving lung function in COPD patients. Jiang et al. (2022) also supported the execution of telehealth to improve chronic disease management. There are also concerns related to the staff’s ongoing education and training on communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and conflict resolution to communicate with COPD patients effectively (Kaihlanen et al., 2019).

I am searching national data to discuss the severity of the practice problem of COPD management and its effect on healthcare. I have also received feedback to change the population in the PICOT question to the staff for the sake of the IRB application.

For the parts II and III of the project charter, several questions exist, including the barriers or anticipated challenges related to potential stakeholders and how actively they will contribute to the project. There are also several questions related to statistical methods that will be appropriate for analyzing the collected data and which approach will be most suitable for the data collection.

Reflection on Areas of Uncertainties

The Virtual Check-In is crucial in addressing various uncertainties associated with the proposed project, encompassing topic approval, data analysis and collection, and stakeholder engagement. To tackle these uncertainties, I proposed pertinent questions to be addressed during the topic approval process, including the feasibility of completing the project within the designated timeframe and the capability of the chosen target population to provide relevant data and staff training. Overall, the Virtual Check-In served as an important platform for identifying and addressing uncertainties within the proposed project, emphasizing the need for continued stakeholder engagement and feedback to ensure robust and effective implementation.
