The practice issue of nursing shortage requires the implementation of an EBP quality improvement project. Employing data-driven methods in the hiring and retaining of nurses, for example, through offering competitive salary packages, and creating opportunities for professional development and a conducive environment, is one way to solve the nursing shortage and improve patient outcomes. Pressley and Garside (2023) maintained that 8 addressing factors that promote nurse retention, including mentorship programs helps address the nursing shortage. Infection control is a significant practice issue affecting the patient's well-being and health. An EBP QI project addressing this issue will involve applying evidence-based infection prevention and control procedures like hand hygiene and environmental cleanliness and vaccination programs (Haque et al., 2020). Nurse burnout is also a significant practice problem negatively impacting care quality and the health and well-being of patients as well as nurses. Thus, it is crucial to develop and implement an EBP quality improvement project to address this issue. For example, an EBP QI project for addressing nurse burnout would include implementing evidence-based interventions aimed at reducing workload burden and enhancing support systems as well as promoting nurses’ well-being
